Paid4U

Who Paid for My Stuff?

Someone did something nice for you – out of the blue. You didn’t know it was coming. You couldn’t have expected it or done something to “earn” it. It was a random act of kindness. Random – and yet planned. Random – and yet, meaningful to you, or you wouldn’t be here.

Why would someone I don't know do that for me?

We have all been given a gift. If you study Jesus’ words, you will find that He did something outrageous for you – he "paid a debt" for you in a way that is even more shocking than what you recently experienced. It really is the greatest story ever told. It just might change your life...

A little over 2,000 years ago someone named Jesus walked on this earth and gave us some basic “rules” to live by. One of the most famous is called “The Golden Rule.” In this and many other ways Jesus taught us that we should care for one another. We should be nice. We should treat others with courtesy, respect, and even with generosity.

So, someone took that idea seriously and decided to do something outrageously nice for you. Simple. Random. Meaningful. What did they do for you? Pay for your coffee at Starbuck’s? Pay for your groceries? Put money in a parking meter for you? It was shocking, wasn’t it? You couldn’t believe what just happened, could you?

Why would someone take Jesus’ teaching seriously? I mean, come on, He lived a long time ago, in a different country, a different culture. What does Jesus know about 21st century America?

The answer to that is really quite simple – here it is - because, some truths are “timeless.”

Who in their right mind would dare say that we don’t need people to act more loving towards each other? Have you watched the news lately? No matter how much things change in this world – we still need love – we still need each other.

There is one other truth that is timeless: God loves you. No matter what. He knows all about you and loves you anyway. He knows what you did, what you said, what you thought. It really doesn’t matter. He loves you. AND He wants you to experience that love.

We won’t endorse or push any type of church on you – but we would be honored to host you at one of our Sunday services. Our church is full of people just like you that are trying to live life following the teachings and the heart of Jesus.
